Su Blackwell is a very impressive artist from the UK. Su’s work consists of sculpting paper mostly out of books and bring words to life, by silhouettes and detailed objects. The paper work is hard to create and obviously requires a lot of time and devotion. It might look easy but it isn’t, I have sweaty hands and the paper will eventually drown in limbo. While the work might seem that of a hobby, Su also ...

Creative advertising is something I really like in the design world. It is my cup of tea sort of speak, might not be yours as well but everyone would agree it is one of those things that is named “creative” and is truly so. The following advertisements showcase real creative talent, both simple and heavy in execution, yet like always, deliver just about enough. Enjoy!

America’s Got Talent is back on its 2011 season and hopefully this time, a talent that is not “vocal” based wins, just for a change. Anyway here’s Team iLuminate’s act, very Tron-ish and very well choreographed. This is a good example of dance meeting tech.

Sometimes I’d look at some interior design magazines or blogs and I’d find some amazing lamps in the background but I could never tell where they got them from or who manufactures them. So I decided to do some research and find them on my own. These are some of the interesting lamps that I found and thought were worth sharing. Some of them aren’t really lamps that I would buy but I do ...

I was wondering how lovely it is when religion meets beautiful architecture and how it is not found in Kuwait. Over here, Mosques (in terms of look) only capture random and generic designs. While searching, what caught my eye the most is how other nations create mosques based on their tradition and very similar to buildings they create, but of course with an extra slice of love. Some examples showcase very cheap to build mosques, ...

This post displays different famous characters from movies, cartoons and games , altered by several artists. This alternative reality compared to what we know can result in quite funny artworks. Most of these creations are created by artists for the fun of it and many of them are available as T-shirts. Things that are usually cartoony are made serious and vise versa. ...

These are some creative ads for Canal+ that display the complexity that is involved in creating movies through colorful and beautifully designed info-graphs. The point is to show that Canal+ understands the immense effort that is put into creating movies and they support the people who make them. There isn’t much more to say so I’ll let the images speak for themselves.

Cyanide and Happiness is a web comic that I am absolutely obsessed with! Nothing can get you out of the gloom of a bad day like one of these comics. We all know MINI whether you hate it or love it, but not all of us know that MINI is a pack of macintosh, where no car looks the same, due their limitless customizations and new versions of the car. Colbie Caillat is one of my favorite artists, her music and lyrics work together in perfect harmony. While her previous albums were slower in pace, this new single from her upcoming album “All of You” picks us the pace. While it cannot be compared to previous songs of her’s, it is still a fun song. The full album comes out July 12. click on the left to see the video. Download song (iTunes)

The latest edition from Chillingo (the people who brought you Angry birds and Cut the Rope) is a gem of a game called “Storm in a Teacup”. Everything about this game is adorable, from the music and backdrops, to the graphics and interface, even the title is adorable. The game is a physics based side scroller with a twist, the best way to describe it is that if feels like the whole game takes place ...

Why is it that companies always tease us with these gorgeous concept cars when they know they won’t build them? I don’t know much about cars so stuff like engine v something and horsepower might as well be in german coz I don’t really understand any of it but what I do understand is beautiful design and the new Jaguar C-X75 is exactly that. The car was developed to honor Jaguar’s 75th anniversary and ...

This game is one of those intuitive games with a funny character and a simple gameplay mechanic, in other words, all the ingredients to make a great game. The main character that you control is an cubic yet elastic ninja who happens to be cute. You pull/drag with your finger to stretch it and make it stick from one point to another, collecting orbs and moving from one point to another. Of course this is ...

This new video showcases never seen footage of the most anticipated games of 2011, at least to me. The video shows the unbelievable animations and a dramatic comparison between Battlefield 3′s Frostbite 2 engine to that of Battlefield 2′s Frostbite 1. This opens up more room for more endless destruction. Tanks, planes, just about everything, Battlefield is indeed a battlefield.
