In just a few days the top game developers will battle it out in hopes of being the ones with the most coveted releases. Gamers and geeks will unite all filled with excitement. Its like christmas but the gamers version. There are a lot of games that caught my attention over the few months and in ...

America’s Got Talent is back on its 2011 season and hopefully this time, a talent that is not “vocal” based wins, just for a change. Anyway here’s Team iLuminate’s act, very Tron-ish and very well choreographed. This is a good example of dance meeting tech.

The Mute Button is” Improv Everywhere”‘s latest video where a group of people plan to mute themselves at an agreed upon time. You might have seen these videos before, They are very famous on youtube, most of their videos is them doing stuff out of the ordinary in large quantities and in public places. So heres one of my favorite videos. It’s not new but its still amazing. It features Danny Choo wearing a stormtrooper suit and dancing around the streets of Tokyo. I love the way people react to him dancing some people are surprised but a lot of people really enjoy it, some even start dancing in the background! Heres an interesting fact about Danny Choo: If his name sounds familiar thats because he’s the son ...

Colbie Caillat is one of my favorite artists, her music and lyrics work together in perfect harmony. While her previous albums were slower in pace, this new single from her upcoming album “All of You” picks us the pace. While it cannot be compared to previous songs of her’s, it is still a fun song. The full album comes out July 12. click on the left to see the video. Download song (iTunes)

This new video showcases never seen footage of the most anticipated games of 2011, at least to me. The video shows the unbelievable animations and a dramatic comparison between Battlefield 3′s Frostbite 2 engine to that of Battlefield 2′s Frostbite 1. This opens up more room for more endless destruction. Tanks, planes, just about everything, Battlefield is indeed a battlefield.

This projection was designed by Rockwell Group for the 25th Anniversary National Building Museum Honor Award Gala in Washington D.C. The project was named “Build Up” and involved using iPad software and projection apps on a 18′ x 18′ geometric structure that displayed animated colorful cityscapes high above the guests at the event. Heres what they had to say about it: “The installation was more than just a digitally-enhanced chandelier. Guests were encouraged to interact with ...

Oh! it is coming, I never imagined they’d make a sequel to one of my favorite movies of all time. Although the trailer does not provide any story specific elements (which I like) they kept it really funny and simple. This makes me want to re watch Happy Feet 1, hopefully this sequel does not ruin the movie like most sequels do. it comes out this November, 2011

One thing I really love about the advertising world is the constant flow of creativity that almost no other profession has. Showcased here is a brilliant ad by “Anima Animation” where they are advertising for Heinz Ketchup. Normally, people would go for something generic, let’s put Ketchup on food  and then show the company logo and I think that is pretty unpretty! The people behind this ad are crazy as they worked with 3D and ...

Watching this video feels like your traveling at high speeds though a city in the clouds its so surreal! The music isnt what I would normally listen to but it goes so well with the video. Enjoy! Mark Crilley is a great anime artist, but unlike most, he dedicates a lot of his time teaching everyone how he creates his art. His youtube page features over a 100 videos explaining how to draw anime, starting from eyes all the way to full bodies. For now, I thought I’d display his video explaining the  common ways to draw manga faces in 3 different styles. The video starts slow but you’ll sure have a better understanding ...

As weird as the name sounds, these people can sing and bring a huge element of excitement to music like no one else. As if we haven’t had enough Angry Birds, here’s their take on it.

I came across this video and was absolutely amazed at the work that must have gone into it. Its a video showcasing 4,000 images that were taken by a couple on their trip from Morocco to Spain. The images are full of vibrant colors and are a testament to the rich culture found in these countries.     Morocco & Spain from Mike Matas on Vimeo.
