Sometimes life gets a bit overwhelming and you just need your own little haven to get away. This seems to be exactly that.

Its called “The Hemloft” and its an egg shaped tree house built by Joel Allen located in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.

Here’s how he described the inspiration behind his design:

“The driving force behind the whole thing was a simple, yet inexorable desire to build something cool. There were no practical motives or profound meanings … And building with free materials wasn’t out of some principled ideal, it was just the only avenue I could afford. … In the end, I was mysteriously compelled to build something cool, something beautiful.”
