When I imagine walking into a bakery, I can almost taste the rich aroma of freshly baked bread straight out of the oven, and the way it tickles a person’s sense of smell.

But this bakery is quite different, it caters to yet another sense, sight.

The Melbourne-based architecture firm March Studio came up with the interior design for the bakery named ‘Baker D. Chirico‘, located in Carlton, Australia.

The concept behind the design was to mimic the baskets that the bread is served in using plywood shelves curved in different styles, and I have to say this is a gorgeous looking bakery.

I’m adding this to my list of things to see in Australia.
