Im not a huge fan of porcelain and fine china, since its a bit too posh and upety (yes I just made up that word) for my taste. But thats not the case with this collection since it has a bit of a modern feel to it which is more along my style.

The collection was released by classical Dutch porcelain house Royal Delft, created in 1653, with a new contemporary line, Blue D1653.

The name throws me off a bit but the design and skill in the hand made artwork is exquisite.

The collection was a result of the company collaborating with designers Arian Brekveld, Chris Koens and Damian O’Sullivan. Inspired by the traditional design these pieces use unorthodox combinations of materials giving them a much more contemporary feel.
