This design is not new, it was actually unveiled as a prototype back in 2010 and now it was actually built and currently resides at Covent Garden, London. Designed by Heatherwick Studios, they got the opportunity to redesign London’s iconic buses and make use of modern technology and design.
As you can see, it is the London bus only someone must have smoothed all of it, personally I like some stuff like the back windows and how the stairs are exposed towards the side, but what is wrong with the old one?
This new buses are entirely fresh, there are some elements like the old buses such as headlights and I’m glad they kept them, although different at the same time. Overall, I really like the design but the old one in my opinion looks better, I’m pretty sure this is more comfortable though. Five more of these busses will go on streets on London in early 2012.
