We haven’t posted any rewinds for a while now, and we are back to refresh your memory and remind you of the awesome past. One of the most compelling movies back in the days was The NeverEnding Story which came out in 1984. At the time it was one of the most expensive movies to produce outside the US, it turns out it is originally German with American funding.

As a child this movie was a great impact on me and I’m pretty sure my generation too, it was a fantasy, a flying dog and a child making us children only imagine ourselves in their shoes.

Take for instance Free Willy, I wanted to have a whale while ignoring the fact it would swallow me alive. I like creating these rewinds because they remind me of my childhood and I also discover things I overlooked when I was a child. The movie actually had 2 other sequels and if you ever saw them back then you know they were epic.

The movie was directed by German director Wolfgang Petersen and it is actually based on a novel of the same name written by Michael Ende. I think the newer generation can learn something out of these movies, we definitely need a change of pace, vampire movies have occupied mankind. Oh yeah, there is a Blu-Ray version which you can buy on Amazon.

Even Family Guy realizes it is cool:
