While many love money, others like to admire the actual paper money and their unique designs or at least that’s just me. These amazing artworks by Mark Summers quickly reminded me of dollar bills and for me I’ve always wondered how such art is created. From a distance they are cool looking artworks but when you start inspecting the art itself you get really puzzled, wah, how, what!

Well that is the work of Mark Summers and what amazes me even more is his design process. This is not created with a mouse or tablet, it is created with acrylics and a knife, yes a knife! He uses the knife on a black scratching board to create the while lines, it is as if he is working in reverse or for photoshop gurus, that’s more like masking.
His style is not typical, there are a lot of variations when it comes to his art, some are just portraits, some have smaller bodies implying a cartoony approach and many are actually colored, something you don’t usually see when such a style. More of his work can be found here.
