Every once in a while an artist comes along with idea thats completely out of the box. It leaves you thinking, “how did they come up with that idea?”

Well, thats exactly what went through my head when I saw these drawings by Japanese artist Sato.

The collection is called Torigun, featuring a series of magnificent illustrations of birds in military uniforms, each with a different style and origin.

Its strange how he can create birds that fit so well into these uniforms it almost feels natural.

The birds featured are an varied as the uniforms they where, from Red Flanked Bluetails to the Japanese White eye.

I could picture these images hanging in a little boys room.

My favorite is the Owl Finch. Whats yours?
