A few weeks back I posted about the making of Transformers 3 and I was amazed at the amount of effort that was taken into creating sounds for a movie. It takes a lot of creativity when we normally assume that the objects in a particular scene make sounds and make these realistic sound effects.

It is almost as if everything is on mute apart from the voices of the actors, sounds of all kinds are then inserted to provide the epic feeling of a particular movie. For the last Harry Potter movie, they used flame throwers and animal sounds to portray the sound of the dragon. They have also shattered a caravan to create unique sounds only achieved through such actions.

The geniuses behind this music and sounds of this movie are Stuart Hilliker and Mike Dawson, Supervising Music Editor Gerard McCann, Supervising Sound Editor James Mather, and Sound Designer Dom Gibbs. Give the video a watch, it is very inspirational.
