I’ve always loved graffiti, not the annoying scribbles over in Kuwait that were made by kids with the talent equivalent of a blind duck, but the actual talented graffiti that feels more like an art remix than actual vandalism.

I’m against people using public walls as their own canvases but when there are actual events like this one well thats the best of both worlds, amazing art and legal use of their time.

The video was filmed by Askew1 and edited by Selena Miles. It features the graffiti artists at work during the third ‘Kings Of Style’ competition in Mangere, South Auckland in which they compete with other graffiti artists in a “battle” style to win the “king” title.

I loved the video because it didn’t just showcase the art but also the people behind it.
